Alexis LaRowe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker experienced in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families through a combination of psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive theories provided in a relational, person-centered approach. She strives to cultivate a compassionate and comfortable space in which clients can feel safe in navigating the full complexity of life’s stressors.

Alexis’ prior clinical experience ranges from outpatient to intensive in-home settings. She is credentialed in Connecticut to provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has been trained in Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC). She has presented at two Connecticut conferences on trauma-based approaches. Alexis also has experience in the treatment of stress, transitions, grief & loss, LGBTQ+-related issues, domestic abuse, and attachment concerns.

As no treatment is “one-size fits all”, Alexis enjoys incorporating various relaxation strategies, distress tolerance and emotional regulation techniques, mindfulness, meditation, and other holistic practices to honor the wants and needs of each individual client. Alexis views her role as a therapist as that of a teammate. In working together, she strives to empower clients to access their inner strengths and live their best lives.
