Cori Capuano is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Cori has effectively treated individuals facing a variety of matters involving depression, anxiety, oppositional behaviors, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, domestic violence and grief and loss. She has also worked with clients who struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Abuse Disorder, and has treated such clients in both individual and group settings.
Cori has a passion for working with children and families who have experienced a traumatic experience. She is a Connecticut credentialed trauma trained therapist in Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI).
Cori is known for her compassion, warm smile and ability to provide hope for every client she encounters. She wholeheartedly believes the key to change starts with helping clients determine for themselves where they want to be in life, and how they want to get there. As a clinician Cori views her role as one where she works on a team with her clients, because they are ultimately the experts on themselves.
