Evette Corujo-Aird is a bilingual, bi-cultural Licensed Professional Counselor with 30 years of experience working to support and assist individuals in discovering their full potential by reaching their goals. She worked in clinical and counseling settings which include out-patient therapy, emergency mobile crisis, crisis intervention in schools, and counseling at the higher education level. She has experience with populations that include early childhood, tweens, adolescents and adults. Evette employs child play therapy, cognitive therapy, behavior therapy, experiential therapy interpersonal therapy and mindfulness to take patients onto the path of wellness.
Evette works with the following diagnoses; Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Adjustment Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADD/ADHD, and Mood Disorders. She has supported those experiencing Life Transitions, Grief and Loss and relational issues. Evette has extensive experience in assessment, treatment planning and creating a program that honors the client’s individual needs as it relates to therapy. She has run parent education groups to support families in improving their understanding of family systems and behavior.
Evette is a certified Psychological/Physical Management Trainer and a Life Space Crisis Intervention fellow. She lives in Watertown with her husband, two children and many furry and scaly friends. She is fluent in Spanish and embraces and is thankful for her bi-cultural background. Evette has much gratitude for being given the opportunity to provide support and walk alongside individuals as they embark upon the therapeutic journey.
