Jennifer received her Masters degree from Fordham University and is now a Licensed Professional Counselor. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. More specifically, she has experience treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges, divorce, grief and loss, trauma, as well as attention/hyperactivity and oppositional/defiant behaviors.
Jennifer believes that psychotherapy can transform the quality of a person’s life. She utilizes a strengths based, person-centered approach to create an environment where individuals and families are free to examine unhealthy patterns of behavior, set goals, and move toward desired change. She encourages clients to find untapped resilience, while offering new tools to increase emotional intelligence and develop coping skills to better handle powerful emotions. Jennifer enjoys using a holistic approach, reflecting on the mind-body connection and incorporating mindfulness/relaxation training into sessions.
