LaRue McNish, is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 19 years of experience in the field of addiction and relapse prevention. She has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient programs for adults from diverse mulita-cultural backgrounds struggling with behavioral issues, high-risk behaviors and substance use disorders. LaRue has a background in the 12-step approach and evidence-based practices using cognitive-behavioral approaches to teach strategies for identifying and managing risk factors with the goal of preventing future relapse. Her client-centered approach and the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Mind fullness, meditation, and aromatherapy interventions help clients cope with life challenges, improve their quality of life and build self-efficacy.
