Malina is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in working with a diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Her clinical work ranges from leading intensive outpatient programs for teens struggling with life challenges and behavioral difficulties to adults with substance use and mental health disorders. In addition, Malina has found success in helping couples break through communication barriers and relationship conflict; and has a background in evidence-based practices to treat anxiety, depression, trauma and conduct for adolescents. Promoting the importance of safety, connections, and quality self-care, Malina specializes in expanding the knowledge of mindfulness, meditation, health and wellness, art and music modalities, DBT, and CBT interventions to help cope with the difficult emotions and adversities that stem from mental illness. Her goal is to heal by highlighting strengths, help build skills, and motivate change through a person-centered approach
