Michael Dutko is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 17 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families. He has worked with diverse populations throughout his career and has experience working with specific populations that include: military service members, high school students, recently incarcerated adults, first time DUI offenders, and first time drug offenders.
Michael specializes in the assessment and treatment of Substance Abuse disorders, PTSD and trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, ADHD, and behavioral difficulties. He is trained in several different treatment modalities and utilizes these to create a unique counseling strategy for each individual. Michael is trained in and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Person Centered Approaches, DBT, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, CPT, and Seeking Safety.
Michael is also a strong proponent of reducing the Behavioral Health Stigma by utilizing counseling techniques that are “outside the box” to make counseling more engaging and practical to daily life stressors and interventions.
