LaRue McNish is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 19 years of experience in the field of addiction and relapse prevention. She has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient programs.
Larue’s specialty lies in working with adults from diverse multicultural backgrounds struggling with behavioral issues, high-risk behaviors and substance use disorders. She utilizes the 12-step approach and evidence-based practices to teach strategies for identifying and managing risk factors with the goal of preventing future relapse. LaRue’s client-centered approach and the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Aromatherapy help clients cope with life challenges, improve their quality of life and build self-efficacy.
LaRue utilizes a strength-based approach by meeting clients where they are and building a positive therapeutic relationship.
