Susan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families affected by trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, autism, social skills deficits, attention deficits, learning disabilities, adjustment disorders, attachment disorders, and behavioral difficulties. She has extensive knowledge of school systems and special education services.

Susan is committed to fully understanding the needs of clients, identifying effective therapeutic approaches, and providing highly individualized care. Susan utilizes a strengths-based approach and incorporates traditional psychotherapy methods, art therapy, expressive therapies, play therapy, and mindfulness in her practice.

Susan has a dual Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a member of The American Art Therapy Association and a member of Lesley University’s Expressive Alumni Network. Susan’s interest in Art Therapy came from an internal understanding that verbal language is not always an accessible way for individuals to fully express and communicate their feelings, develop self-awareness, engage in treatment, and make progress.
