Robin Lincoln is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults. Robin received her Masters degree from Columbia University, with an educational focus on clinical work with children and families. Robin finds her work very rewarding and chose the field of social work because of a belief in creating positive change in people’s lives. She has experience in the settings of outpatient mental health as well as residential treatment with teens. She has addressed issues associated with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, domestic violence and family and foster care relationships.
Robin enjoys working collaboratively with clients and focusing on a client-centered, strength based model of treatment. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. With this population she believes in exploring creative outlets in order to allow for expression of emotion. She believes strongly in the therapeutic alliance and hopes to provide a supportive and caring setting, in order to build trust. Robin combines this empathetic and safe environment with a belief in resilience and hope. She has an optimistic personality and is able to see strength in the face of adversity.
Robin believes strongly in self-care strategies for everyone and she happily practices her own mindfulness as well as Yoga and Pilates. She recently received a certification in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with teens and also holds a membership with the National Association of Social Workers.
