Elsie Alvarado is a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 11 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. Elsie’s experience varies from therapeutic group homes, outpatient services, intensive in home services, public school settings (special education program) and hospital crisis intervention.
Elsie is passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, mothers, families and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, conduct disorder, behavioral problems, self-injurious behavior, parenting and family issues. Elsie uses a strength based, client centered approach and a variety of treatment modalities to facilitate achievement of treatment goals. She engages families of diverse cultural backgrounds through her positive and empathetic manner and is skilled in crisis intervention, special education services and positive behavioral intervention support.
Elsie is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
