Kristin Fruechtenicht is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut with over ten years of experience working with children, adults, and families in various clinical settings. Kristin has experience working in recovery and addiction services, group homes for the chronically mentally ill, in academic settings to support life transitions, and in the home with children and families. Kristin supports her clients in meeting their individualized goals by creating a supportive, open, and trusting relationship with her clients. Kristin often utilizes a holistic approach by incorporating mindfulness practices that focus on creating awareness and connection of the mind and body. Kristin helps her clients express themselves in creative ways using therapeutic art, play, and movement activities in sessions. Kristin enjoys exploring creative interventions for managing depression, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem. She has additional experience working with those who have attention deficit, learning disabilities, body image issues, eating disorders, and emerging personality disorders. Together we can incorporate positive self-care activities to improve one’s overall wellbeing, mood, thought patterns, and perspective. Kristin advocates for the importance self-care and incorporates yoga and spending time in nature into her own life.
