Laura Ordway, LMFT

Laura Ordway is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Laura obtained a Bachelors in Psychology as well as a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. She has a wide variety of experience that includes conducting outpatient group therapy, as well as therapy with individuals, couples and families. As a family therapist, Laura is aware of the value of assessing life’s challenges through a systemic perspective, looking at the impact that the individual’s overall support systems have on their well being. She has experience working with individuals of all ages (children, teenagers, and adults), as well as couples, and families.

Laura’s areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, suicidality/self-harm, trauma, self-esteem, mood disorders, personality disorders, grief, postpartum depression and anxiety (PPD/PPA) and substance abuse. Laura strongly focuses on mindfulness and self-care as primary methods to assist her clients in being the best version of themselves. She enjoys guiding her clients to work towards and live up to their greatest potential.
