Sarah Ostrom is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker who has almost 20 years of post-graduate social work experience. She enjoys working with individuals struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, and relational issues. She is available to work with adults, couples, and families, and can also provide parent training support to overwhelmed parents.
Sarah is an interactive therapist and offers her clients encouragement, feedback, and non-judgmental insight into her conversations. She believes in a strengths-based approach and primarily uses cognitive-behavioral therapy to support her clients. She is also a strong believer in the mind-body connection, as well as positive thinking, and incorporates these into her practice.
Sarah believes that with the right support and guidance, you can manage the obstacles in front of you and come out on the other side a stronger person. Sarah tailors sessions to address the specific barriers you are facing to identify a new path for you—she believes therapy must be individualized in order to be effective. When she first meets with clients, she strives to create a safe and comfortable environment in order to build a trusting therapeutic relationship through honest dialogue. Therapy is not about getting the right advice or simply solving a problem- it’s about self-exploration and relying on personal strengths to find a resolution that is long-lasting.
