Dana Segall, LCSW

Dana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in varied settings including outpatient, psychiatric residential, school, hospitals and community outreach. She obtained her BA in Psychology and Gender Studies from University of Connecticut and MSW from University of Connecticut. She has experience in working with children, teens, adults, groups, and families.

Dana’s specialties include individual and family work with those impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relational challenges and conflict. She is trained in Level 1 EMDR Therapy and has done additional trainings. She has done extensive training in perinatal and postpartum mental health and is in the process of seeking certification in this area. Dana’s approach is collaborative and compassionate with her clients as she uses components from her training in mindfulness-based models, ACT, EMDR, DBT, and CBT. She has worked with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, ADHD and neurodivergence, trauma, personality disorders, gender identity issues, healthy boundary setting in relationships, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and mood disorders. She believes in incorporating a holistic approach to therapy that helps her clients understand how various parts of their life impact their physical and mental health. By using an interactive and accepting manner, she helps her clients feel empowered and reminded that they can take charge of their own lives.

Dana is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and is involved in community in various efforts for mentorship and teaching of rising social workers. In her free time, she enjoys going for hikes with her family and rescue dog, gardening and creating new pizza recipes.
