As an adoptive parent herself, Mindy offers a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by adoptive parents in identifying needed services from trauma informed providers. Mindy uses a trauma sensitive, person-centered approach with her clients and works with her clients in finding beauty in their emotional scars, owning their story and understanding/identifying the impact that unprocessed trauma may have on their daily life. Mindy often uses humor with clients and has a down-to-earth personality which can be helpful for individuals who are new, or resistant to therapy. Mindy also enjoys supporting couples who have struggled navigating the waters of parenting, hurdles of life and unpacking each other’s baggage; reconnect and find their way back to the happiness and satisfaction that connected them in the first place.
