Ronald Baptiste is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 8 years of clinical experience in the addiction and dual diagnosis treatment fields. He counsels adolescents and adults experiencing substance use (including opiate addiction) and alcohol use disorders. He brings compassion, familiarity and extensive knowledge to assist individuals and families in navigating through the difficult and sometimes confusing terrain of addiction treatment.
Ronald implements evidenced-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Methodologies, 12-Step Facilitation, and Relapse Prevention.
He emphasizes three dimensions of therapy: a safe, holding environment that allows patients to feel at ease and explore personal histories or existent situations; improved communications between internal systems within the patient or between the patient and people in his or her life; and behavior change, which requires practice and self-awareness.
