Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sarah Moodie, LCSW

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience, the majority of which have been spent working with children and families in school-based clinical settings. Sarah has a specialty in supporting children and adolescents and is eager to carry her skills and knowledge over to outpatient counseling. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University, her Master’s of Arts in Psychology from Saint John’s University, and her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Adelphi University.

Sarah’s approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible, drawing from a range of evidence-based practices to meet each individual’s unique needs. She often integrates modalities such as play therapy, CBT, and DBT to help tailor the client’s care to best support meaningful and lasting growth.

Sarah’s work is founded on a strengths-based perspective, which means that she helps clients build on what’s already working while developing new skills to navigate challenges and transitions. Sarah strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to share, explore, and grow at their own pace.

In addition to her work supporting children and adolescents, Sarah also has experience working with clients across the lifespan to promote growth, resilience, and healing in a variety of areas including: emotional regulation, parenting, stress management, school-related and workplace challenges, interpersonal conflict, anger management, and life transitions.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys being out in nature with family, building miniature projects, and playing with her pets. Sarah also believes music has an incredible healing power and enjoys when clients share musical interests and passions during sessions.
