Chelsea Humphrey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who specializes in working with couples, families and individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She has expertise in providing trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent care for Spanish-speaking individuals and families, and is sensitive to supporting issues surrounding race, ethnicity and multi-ethnic and multi-racial families. Chelsea also effectively treats anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem and substance use issues, as well as individuals with cognitive limitations. She has extensive experience incorporating mindfulness approaches and evidence-based modalities such as CBT and DBT with a person-centered and strength-based approach.

Chelsea is known for her warmth and compassion and ability to make people feel supported. She is skilled at helping individuals identify their own strengths and utilize them in order to overcome challenges and improve their relationships. She provides a safe environment to enable individuals and couples to explore the things that matter to them in a non-judgmental and caring manner. At a leadership level, Chelsea is skilled at team building and development of growth initiatives in the private and non-profit sectors, and has been involved in state-wide collaboratives to facilitate access to services and promote quality care. Chelsea is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the CT Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
