Licensed Master of Social Work

Dawn is a Licensed Master of Social Work who completed her Master’s of Advanced Clinical Social Work at Columbia University. Dawn utilizes a trauma-informed approach which includes individuals of all socioeconomic statuses and cultural/ethnic/and religious backgrounds. Dawn has experience working with Individuals, Families and Couples in a therapeutic setting both in-person in outpatient clinics and through telehealth. Her work with children, adolescents, and adults includes exploring ways to increase resilience and support while prioritizing the psychological, social, and emotional needs of those experiencing challenges with anxiety, trauma, postpartum depression, pre and post bariatric counseling, interpersonal relationship difficulties, and providing parental support.

Dawn has strived to help those she collaborates with learn how to rebuild trust, increase their support system and feelings of safety in the community, learn to regulate behaviors and emotions, disengage in harmful behaviors, and gain the coping skills necessary to feel empowered and find meaning in their lives.
