Diana Anderson LADC, LPC

Diana is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC), who also is EMDR trained. Diana received her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). Diana has worked in various clinical settings, including addiction services, therapeutic in-home family services, and private practices.

Diana’s primary focus is to work collaboratively with individuals seeking empowerment and resiliency from their traumatic experiences. This includes negative self-view, shame, trust issues and fear of vulnerability. Diana also helps individuals address their cultural and racial identity, LGBTQIA (+) identity, mood regulation issues, and overall ambivalence and negative patterns caused by life stressors.

Diana’s clinical approach and dialogue is to be direct, humorous, investigative, encouraging, and most importantly compassionate to those who are ready to take on the challenge to experience an emotional, behavioral, and cognitive self-transformation. Diana promotes change towards building self-confidence, autonomy, embracing boundaries, and learning balance between body, mind, and spirit. Diana preferred interventions to utilize are CBT, EMDR, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness approach, Self Compassion techniques, Attachment Based theory, and Existential therapy. Diana though, embraces and explores new holistic, practice-based, and evidenced-based techniques to assist clients in achieving their goals.
