Rio Comaduran is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 8 years’ experience providing individual, family, couples, and group counseling in community based outpatient or in-home settings. Rio provides a warm and safe space to those struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, migration, parenting, sexual abuse, sexuality, incarceration, substance abuse, LGBTQA+, trauma, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Rio received her MSW from University of Connecticut with a focus in International Social Work and has lived abroad for 14 plus years, as well as learned multiple languages to advanced levels. She has been active in her community for the past 10 years, by serving on a city level commission, advisory boards, and more, providing unique insight as well as keeping a pulse on community issues. Rio grew up in Germany and served 2.5 years in the U.S. Peace Corps Morocco.
Rio utilizes a strengths-based approach and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, as well as some energy psychology approaches such as Emotional Freedom Technique, to provide highly unique, holistic, and individualized care.
